The Nockberge and Bad Kleinkirchheim are nestled in the alpine surroundings of the Nockberge Park. The village of Bad Kleinkirchheim lies at an altitude of 1087m, the surrounding mountains with the Klomnock reach up to 2,331m. The world-famous FRANZ KLAMER downhill run, 15 bathing lakes in the immediate vicinity and an almost infinite number of excursion and leisure options await you.

 

Since 2012, the UNESCO Carinthian Nockberge Biosphere Reserve has been the largest biosphere reserve in Austria, recognized as a model region for sustainable development and as a particularly valuable habitat for people and nature.

There's something to do in summer on almost 3,000 m² - located directly at the mountain station of the Brunnach biosphere park cable car, you can playfully activate your entire body muscles. On some market days, it is still dark when the fresh fruit and vegetables, bacon and eggs are placed on the market stalls. Sometimes visitors to the markets in Carinthia can also smell the aroma of sea fish that has just been brought in with the nets a few hours earlier.
