‘Green islands in the flow of time’ Let our award-winning 3-D film take you to the most wonderful places in the Nockberge in the UNESCO Nockberge Biosphere Reserve. The film is presented by a biosphere park ranger who knows so many interesting things about the region; afterwards he will be happy to provide information. Olympic champion Franz Klammer himself will spend a morning chasing "the perfect line" with you on the slopes of the World Cup resort of Bad Kleinkirchheim. Unique views of the Carinthian Nockberge and one or two insider tips from the ski emperor are included!

Sat, 18 January, 2025 ... This winter, Bad Kleinkirchheim is once again the meeting place for the stars of folk music and pop music at the “Wenn die Musi spielt” Winter Open Air. Venue: Kaiserburg valley station Wonderful winter pictures from the region round off the program and for the grand finale all the artists will once again sing the “Open-Air Song”, the anthem of “Wenn die Musi spielt ”.

The ‘Carinthia Cycle Marathon Bad Kleinkirchheim’ a cycling event was launched in 2009. Bad Kleinkirchheim, the panoramic road through the Nockberge Biosphere Park and Lake Millstätter See form the backdrop to this sporting event, which will take place on Sunday, 01 June 2025. The centrepiece is the 35-kilometre-long panoramic road through the Nockberge Biosphere Park, which, in addition to the unique alpine landscape with the Schiestelscharte (2,045 metres above sea level) and the Eisentalhöhe (2,038 metres above sea level), two strenuous mountain climbs.

For the 28th time, the largest and most successful folk music and and most successful folk music and pop open air festival in the country. Marko Ventre and Stefanie Hertel guide the fans on site and the millions of viewers in front of the television screens through the Musi Abend. We look forward to celebrating with you!

Local fish delicacies such as fish soup, paella, Kärntna Laxn, fish bowl, fish wraps, fish noodles, Steckerlfisch, fish burgers, brook trout, salmon trout, huchen, pizza calzone made from local fish, smoked trout, smokey fish & cheese, fish pasta and much more. Every year at the beginning of September the European Bike Week - probably the most iconic motorcycle and Harley-Davidson gathering in the world - takes place around Faaker See! The motorcycle event attracts hundreds of thousands of Harley riders and fans of the cult brand to Carinthia every year.
