Therme St. Kathrein

Walks
Two comfortable cable cars, Brunnach and Kaiseburgbahn Biospharenparkbahn, carry you effortlessly to over 2000 metres. You can join guided excursions or take hiking trails that are suitable for all levels, from children to experienced hikers. About 30 mountain shelters and cottages that serve food.

Active Park and Yoga Trail
At the Brunnach arrival station you will find the Active Park, with water labyrinth and rafts for action fun for children and adults; if instead you prefer to enjoy moments of relaxation, you may try out Carinthia’s first yoga trail above 2000 meters.

Biking

Lakes
Feldsee and Milstaettersee are drinking-water quality lakes and are about 15 minutes by car. They have beachfront resorts and water sports.

Golf
One of the most beautiful golf courses in Carinthia, 18 holes spread over 60 hectares. Thanks to its high altitude location, playing golf here is a cool summer sport. Golf school and tournaments.

Autumn
Autumn is a journey of taste and gastronomic evenings. Every Friday and Saturday a valued collaboration between Carinthian producers and chefs offers a food market and refined dinners.

Kaiseburg Bob
Thirty-six two-seater bobsleds to snake up and down a 1.4 km-long circuit with 26 bends.

Events
Fish fest in July on the shores of the lake at Feld Am See is a culinary spree of seafood delights. With exquisite fish served in so many different ways, fish foodies are spoiled for choice, and sublime desserts await to complete the gastronomic celebration.

Alpine rally with vintage cars
International Vintage Car Rally, participants compete over breathtaking routes that cover over 1000 km. Departure and arrival at Kaiseburg Valley Station in Bad Kleinkirchheim.

Almabtrieb River
Celebrate with us the traditional arrival in the valley of cows and calves with their sumptuous adornments! Procession with band, Holy Mass and numerous games. Of course, you cannot miss the local ploughman’s lunch and beer to fully enjoy the festivities!

Ski mountaineering
Bad Kleinkirchheim offers wonderful moments of sunshine from morning to night to those who come to ski. Over 100 km of slopes for families and expert skiers. Twenty-four ski lifts, 23 mountain shelters with typical Carinthian gastronomy, four snowboard ski schools and four ski rental centres. Free Ski-ThermenBus service; wide and gentle slopes for children and eight km of black runs, including the famous Franz Klammer; guaranteed snow thanks to artificial snow systems.

Sledding
Four natural slopes around Bad Kleinkirchheim and three slopes around Feld am See. Slopes also suitable for children for unforgettable holidays. Upon reservation, you can climb comfortably by tractor-taxi to the Unterwirt shelter for a night-time descent!

Cross-country skiing
Cross-country ski trails of different levels of difficulty; 8-km cross-country track in the valley where both classic and skate styles are possible. Feld am See 4-km track and other slopes nearby. Cross-country skiing schools close by in addition to trial lessons, group courses, private lessons and the possibility to rent equipment.

Off-the-slopes snowshoes
Thanks to their gentle undulation, the mountains around Bad Kleinkirchheim Offer ideal conditions for snowshoeing, either alone or accompanied by an experienced guide!

Off-the-slopes ice skating rinks
Long frosty nights turn the lake into a wonderful ice rink! Equipment can be rented on site or directly in Bad Kleinkirchheim.

Off-the-slopes hiking trails
In winter well over 60 km of snow-cleared winter trails cross pristine landscapes, idyllic valleys and snow-covered forests. Well signposted paths not suitable in wintertime.

Horse-drawn carriage
You can book a horse-drawn carriage ride in the sunshine for a romantic moment for two or with the whole family.
